Dr Stephen Blatcher

Dr Stephen Blatcher is based in the Product and Process Engineering Practice of PA Consulting Group. As a Biomedical Engineer, Stephen specialises in innovation and risk management on safety critical products and processes. In over 8 years of consulting to both start up and blue chip companies, Stephen has managed numerous programmes to deliver strategic insight, risk based product development and process automation in the areas of implants, drug/device combination products and biotherapeutic delivery devices. He has also undertaken studies to investigate the risks associated with the development of commercially viable tissue engineering/regenerative therapies. Stephen is chartered with the IMechE and, prior to becoming a consultant, held a postdoctoral position at the IRC in Biomedical Materials (London), developing methods to predict the clinical performance of orthopaedic implants and materials.
